Course Description

Welcome to CUR eLearning course on the Responsible Conduct of Research (RCR).  In partnership with Michelle Leonard at University of Florida (UF) Research, we have developed this course as an introduction to RCR for undergraduate students at UF. 

This course will focus on the fundamentals of RCR in all disciplines, including research ethics, avoiding plagiarism, proper data usage, responsible authorship practices, mentorship, protecting research subjects, and collaborative research. 

This course consists of 8 lessons:

  • Introduction to RCR
  • Mentor/Mentee Relationship
  • Research Misconduct
  • Data Management
  • Avoiding Plagiarism
  • Ethics of Authorship and Peer Review
  • Human and Animal Subject Research
  • Collaborative Research

Each lesson covers a topic of RCR and ends with a quiz. Once all lessons are completed a certificate of completion is provided. Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge are recommended browsers for optimizing course experience.
