The ORI manual, Introduction to the Responsible Conduct of Research (RCR), describes the core components of RCR along with recommended guides to carry out research responsibly (Steneck, 2007). The national healthcare group has summarized its eight primary components as pictured below (National Healthcare Group [NHG], 2010).
